Re: Loading software
Sorry for the delay, been hit by severe storms here today and we had no electricity for most of the day! One odd thing I can see is the name of the file you are trying to install, you have shown: quick-n-easy-web-builder.8_8.4.1_amd64 but the file on the web site is : quick-n-easy-web-builder-8_8.4....

Re: Loading software
A lot of people were very patient when I was learning so the least I can do is offer my time to others. I'm afraid I can't see any of the images but something doesn't look right at your step 3. 1. The file to download is at URL: https://www.quickandeasywebbuilder.com/download.html 2. Then look for t...

Re: Loading software
I think you must be doing something wrong or using the wrong installer file. If you download the zip file from the web site (qnewb8_linux64.zip) it should contain 16 directories and 14 files. The directories themselves also contain files. If you extract 'qnewb8_linux64.zip' to a folder of your choic...

Re: Loading software
You are confirming the executable file isn't there at all. The three files inside the .deb are normal, all debs are like that, two files are the program and its data, the third is a script to install them. Can I suggest you try something completely different. Delete the files you have installed and ...

Re: Loading software
'ls -al' is 'LS -AL' in lower case. I think you might have typed a digit one or letter I rather than L. ls is a standard Linux command to l i s t files, the -al reveals hidden files and lists all their details one file per line. If you are unsure of the path, try this: locate qnewb It will probably ...

Re: Loading software
Pablo doesn't allow images to be uploaded directly to this Forum but in any case, you have sent a link to a file on your own computer so (hopefully!) nobody else can see it anyway. Try posting it on a file sharing system, preferably one that doesn't require a password so we can see the image. Brian.

Re: Loading software
I agree, the program doesn't seem to be there. Please try this and post the result: 1. open a terminal window 2. 'cd' to the directory the program should be installed in. (the prompt should then include that directory) 3. type 'ls -al' and copy the results into a reply here. What you should see is a...

Re: Loading software
Strange. I'm running a Gigabyte i7 here that must be close on 10 years old and it runs fine in 64-bit mode. Are you by chance trying to run the 32-bit version without the 32-bit Linux libraries installed?
Brian.

Re: Loading software
I have no experience with Zorin either but you could try a trick to get some diagnostic information: Open a terminal window, cd to whichever directory the program is installed in, type './qnewb' without the quote marks. This will try to run the program normally but whether it fails or you stop it ma...

Re: FontAwesome Icon
Apologies, I didn't spot that. They only show as in your image when the viewport is less than 500 pixels wide.
If it helps, they show as unicode 0xF002 and 0xF2BD characters in my Firefox browser.

Re: FontAwesome Icon
I think you should tell us what it is supposed to look like!
I don't see anything wrong, even if it isn't what you expect it to look like.

Re: Give visitor page edit access
It is HTML so you see all the markup tags. I would suggest a different method - set up a database, read the values from the database into the page the user sees. Then allow administrator access to modify the database. Doing it that way also gives you flexibility to use the values in other ways. Brian.

Re: Gyrotonic dallas park cities
Pages seem a little slow to load but that might just be my super-slow internet connection (peaks at about 1.5Mb, usually much slower )
Otherwise looks really nice.

This web site reponding very slowly
Has anything changed over the past few days on this web site?
I'm seeing "downloading from d.adroll.com" messages for about 30 seconds before each page loads and sometimes a database error "dbo...... [1203]". I'm not seeing it on any other sites.
