Post by moris »

It does not look like you did anything to make your website mobile friendly.

I was playing a bit with the guide you sent me (using master_page_layoutgrid.qwb)
and I was wondering what allows me to define this space and where this space is coming from:

The space indicates that there are (hidden) objects outside the viewport.

See the FAQ
"There is a large is empty space at the bottom (or right side) of my page."

I think I don't clearly understand the logic of it and I need your help to understand what am I missing.
My goal is to to have a Desktop version and a Mobile version (320 pixels).
My steps were using your template master_page_rwd.qwb:
1. Defining the breakpoint page to 320 pixels.
2. Changing each object in Breakpoint mode to maximum width of 320 pixels.
3. Making sure there's no other objects which are more than 320 pixels / in a position above 320 pixels.

I tried opening this page on my mobile: http://couponsexplorer.com/index-rwd.html
And for an unknown reason this is happening:
1. There is an unlimited width and height, Desktop looks okay.
2. On Mobile the footer height is very long (?)
3. There are images above text.

What can be the reason causing this?

There is a scrollbar at the bottom of the page.
This indicates that there are objects outside the viewport.
Although it's difficult to see what you have done exact without the project file, it looks like the issue is caused by 'shape4'

Can i send you over email my .qwb file so you can have a look?
I don't have any objects outside the viewport.
And what was the issue with shape4? What am I doing wrong so I can overcome these issues?

Thanks.

Great, you can download the file at: http://couponsexplorer.com/master_page_rwd.qwb

Please refer to the masterpage page and index-rwd. In Mobile.

Did you create this project with the latest version?
Because when I load your project it works correct. I do not see the scrollbar.
Also, the code of the page on your website looks like it was created with an older version.

I was able to reproduce the problem with the footer height, this will be fixed in the next update.
