Can't publish - no /public_html directory message

Post by alex4orly »

Had to make a change to the home page here : http://nmaa-rc.org.au
But, it seems not finding the home folder /public_html

Please see setup document and error message in here : http://nmaa-rc.org.au/siteupload_failure.pdf

Hope you can see what is wrong?

Thanks

Did it previously work?
Did you change something?
Or maybe your host changed something?

It looks like you are directly logged into the root of the website.
Maybe you do not need to use public_html?

The only change is my move from Windows to Linux, Qaewb.
All my website files are in /public_html.
All my site are with the same hosting service.
I connect with FileZilla all the same.
If I will upload into the root, what will that do?

Any other thought?

If that is where your index file is then everything will be OK.

If there is no public_html then the software cannot change to that folder.

Please see the attached screenshot - of course there is a /public_html folder under the root.
This is the folder where the entire website is loaded into - at least, that was the case in wb

Thanks

The FTP account may log you into the public_html by default, so in that case you do not have to configure this in the publish setting.
