Quick 'n Easy Web Builder FAQ
*** SOLVED *** No space between text lines on website
I have a webpage that has 16 lines of text in a text box.
The odd lines have a hyperlink to a PDF file.
The even lines are just a carriage return between the hyperlinked lines.
In V5, the there was a blank line between each hyperlinked line for better readability.
The same code in v6 removes the blank lines when the page is published.
See the following URL for the v6 putlished page.
http://scgmgc.com/club-documents.html
I want a blank line between each line as we had in v5.
Suggestions?
Chap

Re: No space between text lines on website
Ok Pablo, I have created a one page site with 7 lines of text of which each one has a Link to a PDF file.
The text lines have a blank line between each text line.
When published, the blank line disappears and the hyperlinked lines have no spacing between lines.
Here is a link to the files in my DropBox:

Re: No space between text lines on website
Thanks for sharing the project file.
I will investigate after the weekend.

Re: No space between text lines on website
The problem should now be fixed in the latest update.
Re: No space between text lines on website
The problem still exists.
Look at this URL:
http://scgmgc.com/index.html
There should be blank lines between the hyperlinks items.
The paragraph in yellow, should have some blank lines -- they are missing.

Re: No space between text lines on website
Example:
Each of the text lines below have links to files or web pages with a blank line between lines in a 3 column Grid with this being the 1st column
SCG Information
SCG Computers
SCW - Golf Courses Map
The web page is displayed with no lines between the text.
SCG Information
SCG Computers
SCW - Golf Courses Map
This creates a mess if you have a paragraph with blank line to separate sentences, etc.
Need some help here.

Re: No space between text lines on website
The problem seems to be related to the way you have formatted the text.
There are no real line breaks.
Please remove the empty lines (with space) and insert a line-break by using <Enter>
Note that the project you have shared works for me using the latest update (6.0.1).
If this is a different problem then please send me an updated project.
Can you please make sure that you have version 6.0.1?

Re: No space between text lines on website
I do have the latest build, 6.0.1.
Your update fixed a very simple page of hyperlinks.
The same problem exits in a 3 column grid.
There is no spacing when a carriage return is entered for a blank line.
I have created part of the website files that have the problem on the Home page (index.html).
You can download the files at:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3oex8co15whb ... gWRwa?dl=0
Looks good in QNEWW, but preview and published version drops the blank lines between the linked text lines.

Re: No space between text lines on website
I'm sorry, but it does not look like you have included the project file.
Note: the project you have shared earlier did not you have real line breaks. That is why the behavior of the empty lines was unpredictable.
In the last update of the software, I have tried to implement a workaround for this. However it's more reliable to use real line breaks (Enter).
When sharing a project please remove all non-relevant pages/content. So, I can focus on the problem only. Then I can quicker provide a solution.

Re: No space between text lines on website
I have done a normal carriage return at the end of each line. Those carriage returns are deleted when published to the web.
Here is a link to a folder that has the program file and graphics for the project:

Re: No space between text lines on website
Thanks for the update project. I will investigate why it does not work with your project.
Unfortunately, my Mac is no longer words after I tried to update to Mojava. So, it will take a bit longer than usually to find a solution.
