Inconsistent fonts on page

Post by xedni »

Hello,

I have a problem related to fonts, in that the incorrect font is appearing on part of the published page. There are two text objects on the page; identical, except for the actual text. One of them shows up correctly on the published page (i.e. the correct font), but the other one is replaced by another font.

The problem occurs in Chrome on Linux.

Suggestions, advice please...

Here is an example: https://kamilabt.com/special_k.html

The fonts above and below the album cover object should be the same. On Firefox/Linux they are, but not on Chrome/Linux.

Hi Xedni: THis is happening to me frequently.
My workaround:
mark/select all/each text,
Right-Click
Remove Formatting
and the format the text again. I did not find the real root cause, but mabe I did some copy/paste before.

You have used two different fonts. One of them (Courier 10 Pitch) is not web safe and cannot be used in websites.

Why does the font show up on some pages and not others?

Perhaps that applies to you also?

Thanks Michael. I'll give it a shot, but I'd like to know what the cause of this, since it's not free software.

A potential cause is, you did paste a formatted text. Or you selected by accident "Show more, non web-safe fonts".
Do you find that font in your fonts list of QnEWB?

Yes, it seems to have been a formatting issue. Thanks for your advice. It seems to be ok now.
