A magnifying glass for images

Post by ships158 »

I have been enlarging images using the CSS3 Animations in QWB. This works well for the majority of what I want. Occasionally, there are several small areas in the image that I wish to see in more detail. For this, a CSS magnifying glass would work well but I cannot figure out how to make it work in QWB. I see this on ebay and many sales sites. There are numerous ideas on the web for doing this and here is one

https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_j ... _glass.asp

I can get the magnification I want using the CSS Animation in QWB but then it also magnifies the entire image rather than just the area of interest.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Maybe the "Elevate Zoom" extension is useful?

Thanks for the fast reply. Thanks even more for having a solution for me. It took me only a short time to get this extension to do what I want but it will work just fine, it will even do more than I need. Lots of room for experimenting.

Is there a pdf or instructions on how to write an extension? I never heard of an xmz file.

Thanks again.

Extensions can be created with Extension Builder (for Windows only)

Thanks. I will give all that a try. It certainly sounds possible.
