If I enter the German Umlaute 'ÄÜÖ" etc
they are transmitted in the mail like this: üüüüü
äääää

This a web mail client. So nothing special.


What is going wrong here?

First please note that version 6 is no longer supported.
But did you set 'accept charset' to UTF-8?
