Creating an Adaptive(?) site

Post by davidmuncaster »

Hi, Please forgive noob question. I'm not even sure if "Adaptive" is what I really want so I will explain what I want to do.

I created my website www.playsfortheatre.com some years ago in QNEWB5. I have just upgraded to QNEWB8 because I want to make some updates. According to an online test I did, my website is responsive and displays well on mobile devices but I want to make it so that the display changes on narrow screen. The effect I am after can be seen on www.stageplays.com. If you open that on a PC and resize the browser making it tall and narrow like a mobile device, the display changes to put everything into one column. Is that Responsive, Adaptive or a combination of the two? All I know is that my website doesn't do that but it would make it easier for anyone browsing it from a mobile device.

Any pointers on how to do this would be appreciated.

Quick 'n Easy Web Builder supports both adaptive and responsive web design.
